At the end of George Street is Parliament House, the home of Queensland's State Government. Built in the early days of the colony, this impressive sandstone building has been our greatest political institution. It has seen riots, strikes, protests, controversy, arguments, achievements and even death. There are many ghosts that haunt its halls.
If the stories were from politicians alone you would have cause to doubt their authenticity but most ghost tales come from State Government security guards that work in Parliament House. They swear the place is haunted. Some don't even like to work nightshift.
