The Breakfast Creek Hotel, established in the late Nineteenth Century on the eastern side of the watercourse after which it was named, is an icon of Brisbane, immortalised in folklore, song and literature. In recent years 'The Creek' has undergone a transformation with extensive renovations, giving it a new lease of life. Its patronage has dramatically increased: once a working class establishment, it is now THE place to be seen in town.
